DAY ONE
God’s Promise:
I will not forget about you.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” - Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)
Whatever captures our heart, directly affects our nearness to God. The issues of life have a way of coming between us and God and creating distance. For many of us it may be busyness. For others it may be the anxiety of our current crisis. For some it may be frustrations or failures. Whatever the cause of any distance between you and God, He wants you to know, “I have not forgotten about you!”
In Jeremiah 29, God’s chosen people were living in captivity. They had been captured and God was reminding them that He had not forgotten them. He had a plan for them: not a plan for disaster but a good plan to give them a future and a hope.
We, like them, are captive to anything that has separated us from God. We can either remain captive and live a life far below the life God desires or turn to Him and step into His good plans. We can be sure of this: God has a plan for us. For good and not for disaster. To give us a future and a hope.
God kept His promise to His people and brought them back from captivity. As His child, God continues to keep His promise for you and will bring you back from any captivity if you will call on Him for help.
Action Step:
I will return to God’s plans because they are best for my life.
