Why first fruits giving?

God is generous and so he calls us to be as well.  First Fruits Giving is a practice of offering God the first of one's earnings as a symbol of gratitude and to put God first. It's a way to give God one's best, unconditionally, rather than leftovers.

What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.

 Online Giving is available for one-time gifts or for scheduled, recurring contributions. Whether you’d like to give a single gift, schedule ongoing donations or view your giving history, you can do it all online. It’s quick, easy and secure. You can give your tithe here as well as your gifts.

Give via Church Center App

Another easy, fast, and secure way to give at Crossgates is by using our Church Center App.  The App is available for both Apple & Android devices. Visit your devices App Store and search for "Church Center". Once downloaded, choose Crossgates Baptist Church as your home church and you can then setup giving.  The App will also connect you to your LifeGroup, Events, Church Calendar, Check-ins, and more!

Give via Text

Another easy, fast, and secure way to give at Crossgates is by Text Giving.  Text Giving allows you to text an amount you wish to contribute to the church to our dedicated number.  Just text your amount to the number 84321 and follow the instructions in the return text you receive. Example - TEXT 100 to 84321. Once you set this up one time, you are done and can continue to just text the amount you wish to give to this number going forward.

Give In Person

During our Worship Encounters, you will be given the opportunity to give your tithes and offerings.  We pass around small baskets for you to place your donation in.  Make sure you place it in a provided offering envelop so we can make sure to give you contribution credit for your gift.

Mail A Check

We welcome your giving via USPS.  Just write and check and place in the memo line what the donation is for so we can record and give you the correct contribution credit for your gift.

Giving FAQs

Here are a few of some of the most frequent questions we receive about giving at Crossgates.

Are there other options for giving?

Your giving falls into two categories: charitable cash and asset-based contributions. Charitable cash includes cash, check, or debit card donations. Asset-based contributions are noncash and include stocks & mutual funds, charitable gift annuities (CGAs), or real estate.

What if I change banks or want to adjust the date or amount of a contribution?

You can edit or delete a scheduled contribution at anytime including the bank routing number, account number, date, fund, frequency and amount. These changes will need to be made under the username that originally created the schedule.  If you need help with this, we are more than happy to help you with this process.  Please call 601-825-2562 and ask to speak with Kathy Wolfe.

I received an email stating that my contribution didn’t go through.
What do I do?

When transactions don’t go through, it is usually because of a typo. So try it again and double check your routing, account numbers, and credit/debit card information.

Is online giving secure?

We’ve taken steps to ensure that the giving process is safe and secure from beginning to end. All of your giving data is secured by SSL encryption. SSL is an acronym for “Secure Socket Layer,” a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions.
