DAY FOUR
God’s Promise:
I will supply your every need.
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. - Matthew 6:33 (NLT)
Most people spend their days on earth chasing the very things God promises to supply. He knows our needs. He knows our physical, relational, and spiritual needs and has in His economy the supply for them
all. God has an economy that is always up! No matter how high the prices rise God promises to supply all our needs if we will simply step into His economy. We do this by seeking first His Kingdom and living daily by His Spirit.
Seeking first God’s Kingdom refers to priority rather than order. This does not mean we begin our day with a ‘devotion’ so we can then go about the rest of our day as we wish. Instead, seeking first God’s Kingdom means setting every part of our day under the priority of God’s Kingdom.
To live righteously means to live daily by the power of His Spirit. The righteousness God is seeking is only produced through our daily surrender to the power of His Spirit.
When seeking God’s Kingdom first becomes the priority of our life and living daily by His Spirit becomes the power of our life, He promises to give us everything we need to joyfully live our life.
Action Step:
I will seek God’s Kingdom in every detail of my life today as I surrender to the Spirit’s power for His guidance.
