DAY THREE
God’s Promise:
I will hear you, forgive you, and restore you.
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
- 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT)
The world we live in today is very different than it was 20 years ago. It is very different than it was even 5 years ago. The more time that passes between Adam and Eve’s choice to disobey God in the Garden of Eden, the more our world wanders away from God.
In a culture turning its back on God, are we focusing on our problems or on God’s promise? If we focus on our problems, we will pridefully seek our own solutions.
God, however, promises us a path to His solution. If we humbly seek Him, we will begin to see our problems turn to prayers and our failures turn to steps of faith!
God will fulfill His promise to hear, forgive, and restore as we humbly seek Him through prayer, taking steps of faith away from sin and failure.
Action Step:
I will turn my focus away from my problems and fix my eyes on Jesus, the Source of God’s promise today.
