Session 5: Grandparenting with Intention -- Boundaries, Blessing, and Faith

What does it truly mean to leave a lasting legacy for the people we love most? This session digs into one of the most meaningful callings we have as grandparents: passing our faith to the next generation. We explore the idea that our primary role is not to co-parent, control, or compete, but to be intentional vessels of God's love and truth. We are reminded that respecting the boundaries set by our adult children is not a sign of weakness but an act of wisdom and trust. When we support rather than undermine, when we listen more than we lecture, we build the kind of relational trust that opens doors to our grandchildren's hearts. The session draws on the principle found in Philippians 4, where peace that surpasses understanding is available to anyone who brings their anxieties to God with thanksgiving and prayer. We see this truth come alive in a real moment between a grandmother and her anxious teenage granddaughter, where simply reading Scripture together brought a visible calm. The takeaway is powerful: the Word of God works. And when we cannot speak it aloud, we can still live it out, pray it over our families, and trust that God sees everything He is working in places we cannot see.
