Serve with Kids Ministry

“And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on My behalf is welcoming Me.” Matthew 18:5

Kids Curriculum & Set-Up Team

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

•This is an extremely flexible role with opportunities to help throughout the week or even from home.

•Establish with Kids Ministry staff a weekly time that you can faithfully come to the church and help with organizing materials, preparing crafts, and keeping resource rooms stocked and ready for Sundays and Wednesdays.

•Keep both upstairs and downstairs resource rooms tidy and organized, put back supplies in the proper places, and notify Kids Ministry staff when supplies need to be replenished.

TEAM EXPECTATIONS:

•Worship. Regularly attend and actively engage in our church-wide worship services, and commit to grow as a Christian in all facets of life.

•Prepare in prayer.  Pray for God’s heart for people every time you serve.  Ask God how you can put someone else at ease, for the Lord to use you today, and how you can most authentically demonstrate His love.

•Serve when scheduled. Let Kids Ministry staff know in advance if you are going to be out.

•Be on time. Although this serve role is not on a Sunday or Wednesday, the preparations that we make during the week are vital to our big days going smoothly. Your part is essential!

•Dress appropriately. Dress in a manner that would honor Christ and not distract others or cause them to stumble. Crossgates Kids shirts are available for purchase through the Kids Ministry staff.

•Be respectful of events happening during the week. Our Crossgates Kids Ministry shares space with our CBK and MMO programs, as well as our School of Worship Arts classes, so we often have children in our LifeGroup rooms and The Treehouse. Please communicate with Kids Ministry staff before going into a classroom with kids.

•Serve with passion, commitment, and excellence. Remember that you represent Jesus Christ to our kids and families. Conduct yourself worthy of His calling on your life, leaning on His direction for all your ministry opportunities.

•Communicate. If you need a break, feel burnt out, or are just going through a busy season, let us know! We’d love to pray with you and for you in any way we can.
