TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The Golf Cart Team helps guests navigate campus by providing a friendly, safe, and convenient ride from the parking lot to the building and back to their vehicles.
• The Golf Cart Team is an extension of our Guest Services ministry. Every ride is an opportunity to welcome people, serve them well, and help them feel at home at Crossgates.
• Be especially attentive to those who may have difficulty walking long distances, families with young children, senior adults, or anyone who would benefit from a ride.
TEAM EXPECTATIONS:
• Prepare in prayer. Every Sunday is an opportunity for someone to encounter the Lord. Pray that God would use each interaction, conversation, and simple act of service to help people experience the love of Christ.
• Serve when scheduled. If you are unable to serve when scheduled, communicate with your team leader as soon as possible so a replacement can be arranged. Communication is essential to ensuring our guests are cared for well.
• Be on time and prepared. Arrive early enough to be in position before guests begin arriving.
• Serve with passion, excellence, and spiritual eyes. Look for opportunities to serve beyond simply driving the cart. Be aware of guests who may need assistance, offer a warm welcome, and look for ways to make someone's experience better.
• Prioritize safety. Drive carefully and responsibly at all times. Follow designated routes, observe campus traffic, and never rush. The safety of our guests and team members is always the priority.
• Make every ride personal. A golf cart ride may only last a few minutes, but it is an opportunity to make someone feel seen and valued. Smile, introduce yourself, engage in conversation when appropriate, and help guests feel welcomed.
• Dress prepared for the weather. Come prepared to serve in the outdoor elements and dress appropriately for the season. We will provide Crossgates-branded rain jackets as needed.
