“And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony unto all the nations [people groups], and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:14
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Serve as the primary leader and point of contact for global mission teams serving within the United States and around the world.
•Engage in conversations with individuals and LifeGroups to help them discern their roles as participants with global mission teams.
TEAM EXPECTATIONS:
•Lead team meetings. Each mission team will have a series of meetings to prepare for a mission trip; the team leader will prepare for and lead these meetings.
•Lead in prayer. As the team leader, you should lead in prayer on a personal level, with your team members, and with those supporting your team in prayer. Actively enlist those who will pray for your team as you prepare and as you go.
•Lead in sharing the Gospel. Equip your team in sharing the Gospel and model what you teach, both here at home and on the mission field. If a ministry partner has a specific method for sharing the Gospel, learn that method and teach it to your team.
•Lead the mission trip. You will be the primary leader and point of contact for the mission trip. This includes making biblical decisions in difficult situations, managing team conflict, being financially responsible with team funds, handling on-ground logistics, and connecting the team with the ministry partner associated with the mission trip.
•Lead in reporting. At the conclusion of the trip, you will be responsible for reporting testimonies, victories, and struggles with OneHope staff. You will also be responsible for collecting photos from the trip and providing them to OneHope staff.
•Serve with passion, commitment, and excellence. Our desire is that you are able to serve with the gifts and passions God has given you. If this opportunity ends up not being a good fit, or if you need a break from serving for a season, let your OneHope point person know. We would love to pray with you and for you in any way we can!
