Serve with Worship

“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” Colossians 3:16

Student Worship Development

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Invest in students who have a desire to grow as musicians and vocalists through a relational community environment.

•Develop student musicians and worship leaders through a mentoring relationship.

•Challenge students to learn excellence by teaching them proper rehearsal techniques and skills.

•Encourage spiritual growth through conversations around discipleship principles.

TEAM EXPECTATIONS:

•Worship. Regularly attend and actively engage in our church-wide worship services, and commit to grow as a Christian in all facets of life.

•Prepare in prayer. Pray for God’s heart for people every time you serve.  Ask God how you can put someone else at ease, for the Lord to use you today, and how you can most authentically demonstrate His love.

•Commit to serve seasonally and be on time. Development runs in January and August for 6-8 weeks on rotation.

•Get to know students and coach them weekly. Coach students each week you are scheduled by giving them pointers on how to best lead their part and how to work within a band. Get to know the students who are learning the instrument you are coaching, and seek opportunities for ongoing learning and growth.

•Cultivate and steward a God-centered, distraction-free atmosphere for people to encounter the living Jesus and His life-changing presence through worship, music, and the creative arts.

•Serve with passion, excellence, and spiritual eyes. Look for ways to incorporate spiritual conversations within your coaching process, pointing what we do back to serving the Lord. Look for ways to help us improve the development process, as we are always striving to do our best to train the next generation.
