“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Partner with team leaders and volunteers to lead middle school and high school students in worship moments during various services, bible studies, and special events.
•Learn how to steward your gifts and talents for the glory of the Lord, and grow in your ability to lead people into the presence of the Lord through worship.
•Represent Crossgates in outside ministry opportunities.
TEAM EXPECTATIONS:
•Worship. Regularly attend and actively engage in our church-wide and NextGen worship services, and commit to grow as a Christian in all facets of life.
•Prepare spiritually and mentally. Be ready to sing/play your specific parts when you show up to serve. Spend time in personal worship, prayer, and God’s Word to prepare your heart to lead.
•Development. Worship development is set aside time for practical training designed to improve musicianship and leadership. Students in NextGen Worship are expected to commit to attending and learning during these development seasons.
•Serve when scheduled and communicate to your team leader(s) when you need a replacement or need a break from leading. If you need a break or feel burnt out or are just going through a busy season, let us know! We’d love to pray with you and for you in any way we can.
•Be on time. Consistently arrive at your position on time based on the Planning Center schedule or times specified by team leaders.
•Dress appropriately. Dress in a manner that would honor Christ and not distract others or cause them to stumble.
•Lead and serve with passion, commitment, and excellence. Strive for excellence in your craft and your character. Remain teachable as you learn and grow.
