TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:
•There are natural rhythms to student ministry that call for deeper, Biblically sound teaching. The role of Next Steps Teacher would be to teach a New Believer Class, Think ONE Class, and/or Discipleship 101 Class depending on the need and season.
TEAM EXPECTATIONS:
•Worship. Regularly attend and actively engage in our church-wide worship services, and commit to grow as a Christian in all facets of life.
•Prepare in prayer. We desire for students to take their next step in their faith. An important part of teaching is praying for the hearts and minds of the students involved in the classes.
•Serve when scheduled and communicate to your team leader when you need a replacement.
•Be on time. It is important to arrive 15 minutes early to connect with familiar students and grab your seat amongst them.
•Live above reproach. Next Step Teachers are called to live a life above reproach and actively seek spiritual accountability and discipleship.
•Teach Spirit-led and Biblically grounded messages.
•Dress appropriately. Dress in a manner that would honor Christ and not distract others or cause them to stumble.
•Serve with passion, commitment, and excellence. Seeing how you follow Jesus can be just as impactful to a student as what you teach about following Jesus.
•Communicate. If you need a break, feel burnt out, or are just going through a busy season, let us know! We’d love to pray with you and for you in any way we can.
