Serve with NextGen

NextGen LifeGroup Leader

“We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders.” Psalm 78:4

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

•A LifeGroup Leader works to build community and unity, foster accountability to God’s Word, and unpack Scripture with their students on Sunday mornings.

•A LifeGroup Leader primarily focuses on their weekly Sunday morning time but is also utilized to lead their groups at our main events in order to connect what happens at the events to their weekly LifeGroup.

TEAM EXPECTATIONS:

•Worship. Regularly attend and actively engage in our church-wide worship services, and commit to grow as a Christian in all facets of life.

•Live above reproach. LifeGroup leaders are called to live a life above reproach and actively seek spiritual accountability and discipleship.

•Prepare in prayer. Pray regularly for the students in your LifeGroup.

•Serve when scheduled and communicate to your team leader when you need a replacement.

•Be on time.

•Lead Spirit-led and Biblically grounded LifeGroups.

•Dress appropriately. Dress in a manner that would honor Christ and not distract others or cause them to stumble.

•Serve with passion, commitment, and excellence. Being a LifeGroup leader requires guiding young believers in their faith and having spiritual discernment to point them to Christ. Seek opportunities to challenge them in their next step with Christ.

•Engage in our main events. Prioritize being involved and present at the main NextGen events such as The WKND, Camp, Man Camp/Girls Retreat, etc. LifeGroup leaders play a major role in the lifeblood of the spiritual ministry done at these events.

•Communicate. If you need a break, feel burnt out, or are just going through a busy season, let us know! We’d love to pray with you and for you in any way we can.
