Not many Old Testament events point to Gospel of Jesus clearer than the story of David and Mephibosheth. Even though he was far from being worthy, Mephibosheth, Jonathan’s crippled son, was given a seat at David’s table for the rest of his life. Because of Jesus, you and I can have a seat at our King’s table for eternity even though we are unworthy!
