ARISE2Read

Through church partnerships with local schools, volunteers make a difference in the lives of children by using a simple sight word program to strengthen their reading skills. Help tutor children weekly on Tuesday or Thursday from 9 AM to 10 AM at StoneBridge Elementary in Brandon.

Baptist Children’s Village

Help meet needs of vulnerable children and their families, while pointing them toward Christ.

  • Perform a work project or clean-up day

Classes for Internationals

Do you know of an international living in our community who needs assistance learning English or preparing for the U.S. Citizenship Exam? Classes meet Tuesdays at 6:30 PM and childcare is provided for 5th graders and younger.
Volunteers have the privilege of befriending individuals from other nations by serving with English as a Second Language and Citizenship Test Preparation classes.

Crossgates Food Pantry and
 Benevolence Ministry

Volunteers from Crossgates help meet tangible needs in the community by providing food and utility assistance on the 1st and 2nd Thursdays of each month.
  • Volunteer on Thursday mornings
  • Coordinate a food-drive for non-perishable items
  • Assist with sorting, organizing and delivering Christmas packages to local families and senior citizens in our annual Arms of Love and We Care holiday gift distribution in December.

Embrace1

Founded by members of Crossgates, Embrace1 advocates for orphans and vulnerable children, and also mentors and encourages adoptive and foster families.

God’s Haven

This ministry is committed to demonstrating the life-changing Gospel of Jesus by meeting the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of men, women, and children who are homeless or on the verge of becoming homeless.

  • Volunteer each week at God’s Haven’s Monday night ministry to children in Jackson.
  • Help provide sack lunches for Jackson students who would otherwise not receive lunch during school holidays such as Spring Break, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
  • Help instill Biblical principles and values in the lives of young girls living in south Jackson during a weekday summer camp

Hands of Hope Ministry

Mission Statement: Hands of Hope Ministry was originally created to provide disaster relief but has expanded to also serve families and ministries with construction needs. People of all skill levels, ages, gender, and gifts join together to create a team to share God’s love in a physical way. Teams of volunteers will serve one Saturday each month (dates to be determined).

Saving Grace Women's Home

Ladies from Crossgates minster on third Wednesdays each month at Crossgates and have special events..
Become part of a group of Crossgates ladies who welcome women from TCWM’s Brandon center to a meal, time of worship and Bible study once monthly. The Lord has encouraged each group of women through this special ministry partnership. Regardless of background, life circumstances or past addiction, Jesus is able to bring unity among believers (Ephesians 4).

We Will Go

We Will Go is based in downtown Jackson and serves the local community day and night by providing food and clothing to those in need, offering after school activities to children, and hosting a worship service every Sunday afternoon. Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the week.
Help this team of missionaries living in community among the poor bring hope to people in Jackson.

Members of Crossgates have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with individuals battling addiction in our area through monthly gatherings for worship and encouragement.

Men from Crossgates travel to Georgetown on first Wednesdays each month for ministry.

Prison Ministry at Central Mississippi Correctional Facility

Ministry at CMCF requires pre-qualification.
Is God leading you to minister to those in prison? We are given the opportunity to share the Gospel with inmates as well as provide discipleship to those who are followers of Jesus.
If you would like to be a part, download and complete the application below to begin the pre-qualification process. Approved applicants will be notified to attend an orientation on the CMCF campus.

For those already qualified, join us for these upcoming ministry opportunities each week. 
Contributions to mission partners should be made directly to their organizations.  Any contribution made to Crossgates on behalf of a mission partner will go into our general missions account which benefits all of our mission partners.
