Serve with Member Care

Everyone was trying to touch Jesus, because power was going out from Him and healing them all. Luke 6:19

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Volunteer at least one regularly assigned day per month.

•On the assigned day, view the list of church and family members on the Hospital Admissions section of the Crossgates Member Care Report (sent daily through a protected email list and available at crossgates.org/mcr with a password).

•Encourage each hospital patient through prayer, in-person visits, phone calls, text messages, and/or cards and notes.

•Communicate updates for each patient contacted in one of these ways:

TEAM EXPECTATIONS:

•Prepare in prayer. Ask the Lord to give you His heart for His people, and to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in all conversations and communication.

•Serve when scheduled. On your scheduled days, follow through with the commitment you have made by contacting those admitted to the hospital. We want you serving in your gifts and passions, and in ministry that is enjoyable to you. Please communicate with our staff if you feel that you need a break for a season, or if you would like help finding a different area to serve.

•Dress appropriately. When making any visits, dress in a manner that would honor Christ and not cause others to stumble.
•Serve with passion, commitment, and excellence. Above all else, remember that you represent Jesus Christ. Conduct yourself worthy of His calling on your life, leaning on His direction for all your ministry opportunities.
