Bereavement Care Team

TEAM RESPONSIBILITES:

•On-campus service volunteers help create an atmosphere of compassion and comfort for members and guests.
•Parking & Traffic Direction
•Greeters
•Reception Line Director
•Family Host/Hostess

•After-care volunteers reach out to the bereaved through prayer, in-person visits, phone calls, text messages, cards and notes, and other gestures of kindness, as God leads.

•Notify the Member Care office of the death of a church or family member in one of these ways:

2. Call the Member Care office at 601.824.2748

•Communicate immediate needs outside of office hours in this way:
1. Call or text Lori Schuler at 601.919.6610

TEAM EXPECTATIONS:

•Prepare in prayer. Ask the Lord to give you His heart for His people, and to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in all conversations and communication.

•Dress appropriately. When making any visits, dress in a manner that would honor Christ and not cause others to stumble.

•Serve with passion, commitment, and excellence. Above all else, remember that you represent Jesus Christ. Conduct yourself worthy of His calling on your life, leaning on His direction for all your ministry opportunities.
