Hands of Hope Ministry

Mission Statement

In the name of Jesus Christ, Crossgates Baptist Church Hands of Hope Ministry seeks to bring assistance and relief from suffering to all who experience loss in the time of public disaster through the faithful use of material and spiritual resources of our local church. In addition, this ministry helps less fortunate individuals with home improvements in the most efficient and helpful manner.

Prison Ministry at Central Mississippi Correctional Facility

Fulfilling the scripture by taking the love of Jesus and the gospel message to men and women who are without hope…

We may ask “Why the prison ministry, Lord?  It’s people who have disobeyed the law, done heinous things, and are just not deserving of time or resources.” Isn’t this what most people think? Just put them away and forget about them.  And then we think of the Cross, Jesus, His love & forgiveness, His grace and mercy…OUR sins.  None of us deserve what He did for us. But He did it because of His love for us, for ALL of us.

***Ministry at CMCF does require pre-qualification – you should print and complete the applications below and return to the Missions Office to begin this process.***

For those already qualified, join us for ministry on these dates:

Tuesday, May 22 – Men’s Side
