Children are a precious treasure God has entrusted to parents. Crossgates recognizes the privilege of caring for your children and instructing them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Although we never push children to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, we do feel that if Jesus is lifted up, He will draw all men unto Himself. Jesus is the heartbeat of our children and the sole purpose for which our ministry exists.
Life Groups are the backbone of the Children’s Ministry at Crossgates Baptist Church. They are the foundation for social activities, evangelism, and Christian discipleship. Life Groups are offered for 1st through 5th

Bible Baseball
Bible Baseball begins May 22!
Bible Baseball is a Bible trivia game combined with the game of baseball. This year each child will receive all of the questions and answers in a Bible Baseball Batting Practice book. The questions will be divided into weekly segments for the children to study at home. The questions are also available online here. For minor leaguers, who have finished 1st and 2nd grades, only the questions for that week will be asked on that Wednesday night. Major leaguers-3rd and 4th graders-will be responsible for the current week and the previous week’s questions. Questions will also be available on our website at Crossgates.org.
You can register your child for Bible Baseball on Wednesday nights before Kingsingers. We will have a registration table at the top of the big staircase each week beginning May 1st.
Wonderful Wednesdays
During the summer the Children’s Ministry offers exciting outings on Wednesday nights for those who participate in Bible Baseball. A weekly Parent Permission Form must be filled out and the children signed up for transportation before Bible Baseball begins at 6:00 pm. The normal cost for each event is $5 per person, with the exception of movies and bowling. Our event times are normally 7:15-9:15 each Wednesday unless otherwise stated.

K.I.D.S. CHURCH

“Changing the world one child at a time!”
K.I.D.S. Church gives children in grades 1st – 5th the opportunity to attend their very own worship service on Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM. This action-packed hour includes games, puppets, songs, drama and a message all centered around a certain Bible study lesson for the day. We desire for children to learn to serve the Lord with their time, talents, and gifts. If children are taught at a young age to serve the Lord with their whole heart, then they will not be intimidated to serve the Lord when they are old. Children need to know when they walk out of the doors of the church that they are entering the “mission field”. We must all go and “make disciples”.

Special Needs Class:
We offer a Special Needs Classevery Sunday at 11:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall each week. The class is staffed with adults who have a heart and a passion for the students in their class.
