Children are a precious treasure God has entrusted to parents. Crossgates recognizes the privilege of caring for your children and instructing them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Although we never push children to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, we do feel that if Jesus is lifted up, He will draw all men unto Himself. Jesus is the heartbeat of our children and the sole purpose for which our ministry exists.
Bible Study is the backbone of the Children’s Ministry at Crossgates Baptist Church. This is the foundation for social activities, evangelism, and Christian discipleship. Bible Study is offered for 1st through 5th graders at 8:00, 9:15 and 11:00 AM every Sunday.

K.I.D.S. CHURCH

“Changing the world one child at a time!”
K.I.D.S. Church gives children in grades 1st – 5th the opportunity to attend their very own worship service on Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM. This action-packed hour includes games, puppets, songs, drama and a message all centered around a certain Bible study lesson for the day. We desire for children to learn to serve the Lord with their time, talents, and gifts. If children are taught at a young age to serve the Lord with their whole heart, then they will not be intimidated to serve the Lord when they are old. Children need to know when they walk out of the doors of the church that they are entering the “mission field”. We must all go and “make disciples”.

Bible Baseball
Bible Baseball, a Wednesday night activity for children who have completed 1st – 5th grades, takes place during the summer months at 6:00 PM. Children are engaged in a Bible trivia game …”Baseball Style”
Not only are they growing in knowledge of God’s Word, but also experiencing a fun time of fellowship!

Wonderful Wednesdays
During the summer the Children’s Ministry offers exciting outings on Wednesday nights for those who participate in Bible Baseball. Some fun events are: Skating, Swimming, Mississippi Braves Games, newly released movie for the summer, Pizza Party, etc.
A weekly Parent Permission Form must be filled out and the children signed up for transportation before Bible Baseball begins at 6:00 pm. The normal cost for each event is $5 per person, with the exception of the movie. Our event times are normally 7:15-9:15 each Wednesday unless otherwise stated.
A Medical Waiver will need to be filled out for each child once per summer. We cannot take any child with us without this form.

Special Needs Class:
We offer a Special Needs Classevery Sunday at 11:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall each week. The class is staffed with adults who have a heart and a passion for the students in their class.
